KIPSQ member hospitals can log into ECRI to report any patient safety event in order to help improve the quality and safety of care provided in Kentucky’s hospitals.

Health care providers considering working with a PSO are advised to review the HHS directory to ensure that the entity’s PSO certifications have been accepted.

The KIPSQ PSO is a way for health care organizations to have quality and patient safety related data federally protected as confidential, privileged, and protected from legal discovery to assure a robust quality improvement environment. KIPSQ will also enable organizations to participate in shared learning to foster improvements in the processes used to deliver patient care.
